Whitewater probe chief Robert Fiske told House Banking Committee chair Henry Gonzalez that he should complete his investigation before testifying. He said appearing now would be inappropriate and hinder his work, while Gonzalez pressed for a July 26 hearing. Fiske is finishing the Washington phase and has ruled out pursuing more than 20 White House and Treasury contacts.
