Berea high school and Midpark teacher die in church ladder accident
Two Berea school teachers Michael Martin 28 and Marwin Rader 33 were electrocuted when an aluminum ladder touched a 13 500 volt line while painting Elvira United Methodist Church at 8:43 am. Both men died at Elvira Memorial Hospital. A third worker Dan Roberts 33 tried to revive them. The church job was part time. the ladder contact with live wires caused fatal injuries. Rader had taught at Midpark High School since 1994 and coached wrestling and football. Martin taught at Berea High School and coached wrestling and football. The incident prompted on scene efforts and investigations by local law enforcement.
