Amherst Ohio July report says Thomas Young 345 Afill Avenue Amherst died 2 a m today from injuries at Cleveland Quarries where he was crushed between a dump box and a stone while operating a steam shovel on June 15. A World War veteran and local athlete, he played as a pitcher for amateur county teams. Survived by his widow Vera and two children, his father Thomas Young Sr, two brothers Clayton and William B, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Zilch Funeral Parlors with Rev. A A Hunter officiating. interment in Brown Holm Cemetery with military honors.
