Switching votes keeps parks and rec levy alive in North Ridgeville

A council vote reversal by two members after a recess clears a path to drafting legislation for a $3.5 million parks and recreation bond and operating levy on the November ballot. Hearing postponed in traffic altercation case Elyria man

A July 22 preliminary hearing is set for Richard C. Taranto 36 of 671 North Abbe Rd in Elyria charged with felonious and misdemeanor assault after a May 26 traffic argument on Midway Boulevard. Prosecution and defense agreed to the postponement before Elyria Municipal Court Judge John Howard.
