The Ninth District Court of Appeals rejected defense arguments to reduce Ern est Guyton Jr. murder conviction. Lorain County Common Pleas Court sentenced him to life for aggravated murder and 7 25 years for aggravated robbery, with no parole for 30 years. Guyton admitted beating and strangling Mildred White, 40, at her Hart Plaza apartment in April 1983 while employed as a CETA worker.
