Ridgeville mother and son killed in crash. driver charged
In North Ridgeville a 22 year old mother of three and her six month old son died after a car collision on Center Ridge Road. The other driver, John J Zytowiecki, 21 of Cleveland, faced two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide plus DUI and other charges. The incident occurred when Zytowiecki veered left of center and hit a car in which Gregory W Shimola, 17, of Westlake was stopped in a turning lane. Both Martinez and her infant died. the husband Reuben, 31, was treated for minor injuries. Zytowiecki was arraigned in Elyria Municipal Court and jailed. Funeral arrangements and visitation details were listed for Cathleen Martinez of Cleveland.
