Krypton reading at Three Mile Island observation point rises
A monitor at a tourist observation center near Three Mile Island detected the highest krypton level since venting began seven days earlier. EPA spokeswoman Geneva Douglas says the rise is due to a easterly wind blowing gas toward the center, but stays within safe limits as venting continues the plant containment cleanup after the March 28 1979 accident.
