Divers study wreck of Edmund Fitzgerald aboard Edwin Link
Aboard the research ship Edwin Link, divers and historians conclude a three day mission to shed light on the 729 foot ore carrier Edmund Fitzgerald. The team reports extensive structural damage, including a bent bow and missing cargo area, and notes the ship sank with great force after a monster wave, with 29 crewmen lost.
