Summer pops series to close with final Cleveland Orchestra concerts
The Cleveland Orchestra summer pops wrap up next week at Public Auditorium with two July shows. Michael Charry conducts Wednesday's Viennese program with Eunice Podis as guest soloist. Louis Lane conducts July 12 and 13 Tops of the Pops with Ernest Estodds violin, Anita Darian mezzo, Willian Tabbert tenor, and The Pops Chorale. The Wednesday concert features Mozart and Schubert, with additional works by Nicolai Beethoven and von Suppe. The July program blends classical pieces with show tunes including Wagner, Smetana, Verdi, and Cole Porter selections. Tickets available at Burrows Stores and Severance Hall.
