Midnight Run brings teens to aid Manhattan homeless
In Westchester a small group guides John Jay High School students and an investment banker on a Midnight Run to help feed and clothe the homeless in Manhattan. The effort, begun by Rev. Joe Gilmore, spans many denominations and operates from a Dobbs Ferry office with a single paid staffer. The van carries bags of sandwiches soup and clothing as volunteers confront difficult urban need and humanize the recipients.
