Seven Ohio death row inmates seek DNA tests
Seven of Ohio’s 205 death row inmates have used a state offer to pay for DNA tests in certain cases. None were exonerated by results. The tests often reinforce guilt, though one case spared execution after blood evidence showed the inmate’s blood on shoes. A bill would codify the program and expand eligibility to all felonies with sufficient evidence.

Council members largely back the idea though concerns focus on costs and logistics for Kindergarten Village and Lincoln Building demolition. Regency's Tari Rivera notes design may take 12 to 16 months with a four to five year construction window once funding arrives.
