Lorain County Fourth of July Celebrations Overview
Lorain County holds varied Fourth of July events. Avon hosts a 7:05 p.m. Crushers game with fireworks after, and a 2:05 p.m. Tuesday game with no fireworks at Sprenger Stadium. Avon Lake plans 7 p.m. festivities with fireworks at dark at Weiss Field. Elyria stages the bicentennial Great American Picnic and Fireworks Show from 4 p.m. Monday in West Park, plus a documentary screening and live acts. North Ridgeville features a 7 p.m. Star Spangled Celebration in South Central Park with a dark fireworks display and a rain-date Wednesday. Oberlin sets fireworks at dusk Tuesday. Rochester marks its 98th Homecoming with a daylong program and sunset fireworks. Vermilion hosts a July 8 patriotic concert at The Tabernacle. Wellington celebrates with an ice cream social at 6 p.m. and Patriots Band at 7 p.m. plus fireworks at dusk.
