Voinovich hints at public support for Ohio cuts
Ohio Governor George Voinovich defended a 315.7 million dollar reduction in state spending on the eve of FY1993, saying the public backs the plan despite forecasting a 520 million dollar deficit without cuts. He noted education bears 54 percent of the cut, with Lorain County Community College facing about 10 percent of its state funding, and urged rethinking the higher education system.
