Grafton Reservoir Opens For Anglers Stocked Bass and Bluegill
Yesterday the five acre Grafton reservoir across Route 57 opened to the public for the first time. Between 60 and 70 anglers fished the stocked 500 Black Bass and 500 Bluegills from August 1956, with success despite heat. Fishing was best from 6 to 15 feet from shore near moss and underwater growth. Regulations require Grafton residents and guests to fish only day from dawn to dusk, prohibit boats and fires, and mandate permits to fish, to protect the water supply.
