Fire captain suspended over Cedar Point citation attempt
Sandusky Fire Captain Connie Litz 37 says she was suspended after asking Fire Chief Dan Shepherd to confirm in writing a decision not to cite Cedar Point for a sprinkler violation in the 950 seat Imax Theater. She alleges discrimination and says Cedar Point has not violated fire codes per park spokesman Robin Innes. The suspension with pay follows her push to enforce Ohio fire code and comes amid prior discrimination settlement. The hearing is tentatively set for Wednesday.
