Kent State ROTC preserved by student vote tally
Kent State University reports about 78 percent of 5 400 participants favored keeping ROTC on campus and 55 percent supported continuing academic credit for ROTC in a spring referendum. The survey also shows 53 percent back Nixon's Vietnamization, 53 percent oppose total withdrawal, 86 percent oppose increased U.S. forces, and 68 percent support the Hatfield McGovern cutoff in 1971. About 63 percent disapprove of sending troops to Cambodia.
