Crown Point Indiana January 31 Still hopes he will shoot way out of jail as Lake County sheriff guards John Dillinger under machine gun protection. He faces murder charges for the East Chicago police slaying and claims he lacks a fair habeas corpus chance. Fifty Chicago Lake County officers escorted him from the airport to Crown Point custody.
