Burge faces disciplinary review over Head Start case handling
Ohio Supreme Court Disciplinary Counsel is reviewing Judge James Burge in connection with the Head Start molestation case. Burge admitted a confidential inquiry while testifying at a Parole Board hearing about Nancy Smith and Joseph Allen, who were freed in 2009 and 1994 respectively. He said he delayed actions due to clemency efforts and discussions with counsel, while noting conflicting statements from attorney Tony Cillo. No disciplinary action is currently filed, but the inquiry remains confidential.
