Town Talk Ill-compiled birth notice with misidentified names
A garbled birth and family notice lists multiple parents and relatives for a baby named Mark Richard born Jan 25. The text mixes grandparents and siblings with incorrect identifications and stray phrases about locals, photos, and Hawaiian folklore, resulting in a confused, error-filled item.
Minty dessert flavors and island life featured in pie and cake
The article describes mint as a historic flavoring from Britain used in desserts and sauces and highlights a Pepper mint Ice Cream Pie with a crisp cereal crust and dessert topping mix. It also covers Betty Crocker toasted coconut cake, PTA events, and a Honolulu family’s experiences with island living, food, and culture.
