Avon fast tracks I-90 interchange near Nagel Road

Mexican national indicted in fatal Elyria crash

ELYRIA A Mexican national living in Elyria Emelio Hernandez Perez age 23 has been indicted on involuntary manslaughter and two counts each of aggravated vehicular homicide and DUI in connection with a December crash that killed 65 year old Neil Jalowiec. A blood test showed Perez with a 0.3 percent alcohol level. Witnesses said Perez’s Jeep Grand Cherokee weaved and sped before rear ending Jalowiec’s car at the Route 57 West River Road light.
