Ohio Edison seeks new rate schedule for municipalities
Ohio Edison has filed with the FPC for new wholesale rates to 21 municipal customers. The proposed basic rate hike of about 18.5 percent for 1970 and a fuel adjustment clause would shift fuel cost changes to the municipalities. The plan aims to raise annual revenue by roughly 1.141 million dollars and becomes effective April 1, 1972, with load shedding and service area changes included. Participating towns include Amherst Grafton Oberlin Wellington and others listed.
