Death Still Mystery Woman Identified As Clevelander

The unclothed frozen body found beside a Medina County road was identified as Mrs. Florence Barrett, 42, a Cleveland divorcee. Cause of death and deposition method remain uncertain though police note possible foul play. auto tire tracks and littered scene suggest exposure. Barrett had lived with her mother in Cleveland and had been out of work since Tuesday.

Mystery Woman Sought In Slain Financier Case

New York police hunted a mystery woman linked to the Serge Rubinstein murder after noting she entered his mansion with his guest and after phone records showed a 2 am call to her. Two Children Die In Cleveland Fire

A Cleveland east side frame dwelling fire killed Delius Brown Jr. age 3 and his sister Rosemary 2. Parents Delius Brown 32 and Beulah 29 escaped with burns. Fire Chief Schmidt estimated $2550 damage and cited careless smoking. A passerby had minor burns after entering to rouse the Browns. Earlier, two other children died in a separate Oakwood Village fire nearby.

Arctic cold front tightens grip on Ohio weather and roads

An Arctic cold front pushed into Ohio with sub zero readings. Greenville logged 11 below, Columbus four below, and statewide highs near 20. Danish Premier Hedtoft Dies in Stockholm Hotel

Hans C. Hedtoft the 51 year old socialist premier of Denmark died of a heart attack in his Stockholm hotel room after arriving for a Nordic Council meeting. A chambermaid found him in the hotel on Friday night. An official inquiry was ordered with no foul play suspected.
