Prisoners Arraigned as Gout Sends Pleas to Guilty
Two pleas of guilty were entered this morning before Judge A. R. Webber. Albert Welsh, 22, of Stop 13 Green Line, pleaded guilty to forging Max Schindler’s name on a $44 check, with larceny charges and prior violations. He was sentenced to Mansfield reformatory. Hollis Brown, West Avenue, pleaded guilty to shooting to wound and to kill during a New Year’s Eve brawl. his sentence was deferred until Joseph Jordan, charged with the same offenses, is tried. Brown will testify in Jordan’s trial. Several others pled not guilty to varying offenses including auto stealing and cutting to wound and kill. Trials begin Tuesday. Milan Kezele and Nick Vidos were not present to enter pleas. Charles Moore seeks probation for robbery.
