Mystery boom near South Amherst linked to cannons and Tannerite
Lorain County investigators determined the January blast on Annis Road came from several cannons and a Tannerite exploding target fired by a .22 rifle. Two male suspects, one from South Amherst and one from Elyria, remain uncharged due to lack of cooperation and evidence. Residents reported items knocked from shelves and Mayor Leshinski checked the scene. Deputies conducted the inquiry.

Wanted man taunts police on Facebook in Ohio case
Joshua Ison Jr. remains at large on a felony drug possession warrant in Sheffield Lake Ohio after fleeing from Westlake police following a crash on Interstate 90. Ison posted comments on Lorain County CSI Facebook page claiming innocence and criticising local police. He says he bonded in Westlake and left hospital ER before police arrived.
