Ohio Edison crews responded to restore power after the 11 15 pm collision on the westbound state road system.
A Second FirstMerit Bank robbery occurred on West Erie Avenue in Lorain around 6:30 PM Friday. Police said no arrests are reported and details remain unavailable. FirstMerit had announced plans to close the bank by March 41, according to bank spokeswoman Melissa Kinky.
An official with a nonunion contractor filed suit in Common Pleas Court seeking to void the city’s project labor agreement with the North Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council on grounds the emergency clause was improperly used. The suit argues the ordinance failed to justify emergency status and would delay a referendum. A hearing was set for 3 pm Thursday.
