Rockefellers Lorain visits and posthumous reflections
Rockefeller visited Lorain County twice in 20 years on campaign missions. The 1960 stop supported Nixon and Lodge at Clearview High School, Spanish-speaking Puerto Rican Home appearances. In 1968 he spoke at St Peter Church Hall on Oberlin Avenue about faith and inflation, mingling with GOP leaders and crowds. He later returned to South Lorain for another Puerto Rican Home gathering. Late October 1975 reports noted his ongoing influence and a family obituary at Lenox Hill Hospital.
