Fall Is Fatal To 95 Year Old Elyrian
Dora Stark a 95 year old Elyria resident died Saturday after injuries from a fall down stairs Wednesday night. She lived alone on the second floor and declined to move in with her step-daughters. Born in Mecklenburg Germany she emigrated in 1871 and married August Stark six months later. Survived by step-daughters 20 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. Services set for Sudro Funeral Home and St John’s Lutheran Church with Rev Armin Schroeder officiating.

WEIRTON, W. Jan. 27 A two story Weirton fire station owned by Weirton Steel was destroyed by fire with damage around 50000. Sparks from a passing locomotive are said to have started the blaze which advanced before Desk Sergeant George Rodak and James Ferrari sounded the alarm. The department lost a 12000 fire truck and several pieces of equipment. Sergeant Errol Perring suffered burns to his feet as Steubenville and neighboring cities sent help that proved futile.
