Eaton Township Fire Department Faces Turmoil Yet Stands Ready
The all volunteer Eaton Township Fire Department formed in 1944 continues to operate with two pumper trucks one tanker one rescue truck and a grass fire unit. Acting Fire Chief Bob Resar says performance remains solid despite recent turmoil. The department staffs 6 am to 6 pm weekdays and 7 am to 4 pm Saturdays with after hours paging. In 2011 fire calls reached 175 and medical calls 505. the roster includes 28 firefighters.
