Barriers Raised After Five Die In Kentucky Crash
Concrete barriers were installed Friday along Kentucky Route 467 at a sharp curve where a Hamilton, Ohio family of five died after their car ran off a creek and submerged. Glenn Allen Johnson Jr, Kendra Nicole Johnson, and their three children were found Jan. 17 after being missing more than two weeks. Police think they were en route to visit relatives in Kentucky. The barriers will be anchored to the roadway according to Transportation Department spokeswoman Nancy Wood.

Avon Plant Fire Forces Evacuation At Parker Hannifin
Fire at Parker Hannifin Corp in Avon spread from an equipment fire to the factory ducts. Captain Rod Meadow said castings in a shake down unit overheated about 9:30 a.m. The blaze reached vents and soot caught fire. firefighters doused the flames in about 15 minutes. No injuries reported. The Avon plant makes aircraft wheels and brakes at 1160 Center Ridge Road.

New Orleans Man Indicted After Avon Lake Crash
Richard J. McCormick 21 faces aggravated vehicular and aggravated assault charges for a September 12 crash at Route 83 and Lake Road in Avon Lake.
