Debra Singleton backs creating a regional solid waste authority to empower residents. Dan Billman remains noncommittal, pledging to align with commissioner decisions. Lorain couple's children placed in foster care
Lorain Children Services has placed the couple's two children in foster care after a Community Health Partners doctor reported suspect injuries to an infant. Police note the injuries appear unlikely from a toddler's action, with prior rib injuries to the older child. A caseworker and Gary Crow, director of Children Services, say recent injuries suggest potential ongoing danger, leading to temporary custody in foster care.
