Son of Sheffield Lake man found not guilty by reason of insanity
Ricardo Punsalan, 22, a brother of Olympic skater Elizabeth Punsalan, was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the killing of his father Dr Ernesto Punsalan on February 4, 1994. Forensic psychiatrist Dr Phillip Resnick testified that Punsalan believed he was Jesus Christ and that his father was Satan.

At Point of the Mountain Utah AP early today John Albert Taylor became the nations first inmate executed by firing squad in 19 years choosing bullets over a lethal injection. Four marksmen fired just after midnight the target over his heart disintegrated as blood spread through his blue jumpsuit. Witness Gordon Lee Taylor's uncle said it went quicker.
