Frederic G. Donner announces that about 67 500 GM salaried employees share in a 146 million distribution from the 1960 savings stock purchase program. The package includes GM common stock government bonds and cash valued at roughly 101.5 million for 51 700 workers and 180 100 for 91 at the Ternstedt Elyria plant.

Parks and recreation seek 165 241 for 1966 budget
Elyria’s parks and recreation department will ask city council for 165 241 to fund 1966 operations. Parks Recreation Director Charles R. Three Wellington Men Chase Ice, Plane Crash, and Shanty Theft
Three Wellington men Lyle Bidlake George Foster and Rolland West fished on Lake Erie's Middle Bass Island and caught 191 perch. They planned to fly from Botsford Field to the island but their plane piloted by Robert Carnahan made an emergency landing near a highway. After landing the trio retrieved gear and continued to Catawba then Middle Bass Island. On returning to their auto they found Bidlake's ice shanty stolen from the trailer.

Pastor to Attend Board Meeting Postponed to Sunday
SPENCER The Methodist Church Official Board meeting was postponed from last night to Sunday at 3 p.m. It will be held at the parsonage 206 North Main St. The plan is to allow Rev. Schriver enters race for Ohio 75th District assembly nomination
Belden farmer and lecturer Henry H. Schriver filed petitions with the Lorain County Board of Elections as a Republican candidate for Ohio representative from the 75th District. He joins at least six Republicans in the race. Elyria and southern Lorain County are in the district.
