Amish Fathers Jailed Over School Issue in Iowa
Eight Amish fathers near Hazleton were arrested on charges of failing to send children to state accredited schools. Henry Yoder, convicted previously, began a three day sentence while Chris Raber and six others pleaded innocent and were released on bond. The Amish maintain their one room rural schools run by their community.
