The Elyria Community Chest held its 33rd annual meeting voting to elect seven new trustees and increasing membership from 100 to 150. President Norris Ryder praised Attorney Archie West for leading the 1952 Chest campaign to a successful finish. Treasurer A. H. Waters reported 69,761.62 of 134,408.54 pledged for 1952 had been collected by December 34, 1951, with 5,417 allocated to local Red Feather services, 4,164 to state and national agencies, and 11,469.40 to campaign and administrative costs, totaling 110,160.50.
