Cleveland police hold a 26 year old ex convict wanted in the Oberlin College robbery about a year and a half ago and for questioning in the robbery and murder of Edward Weber. Detective Sergeant Zicarelli arrested him intoxicated by East 14th street. Sheriff Grall confirms a warrant for the Oberlin robbery. Two men robbed the college treasurer and staff while a third waited in a car.

Plan To Reduce WPA Rolls By 600000 Soon
Washington January 25 WPA plan to cut relief rolls by 600000 in four months to 1.6 million and trim monthly relief costs to 103 million was disclosed to Congress with a Roosevelt budget request of 790 million for February through June Hopkins said the program relies on continued recovery and favorable crop prospects. He warned unemployment could remain high even after a full recovery, with 6.5 to 7.5 million out of work in the long term. The plan includes detailed monthly employment targets and cites the resettlement administration taking over drought relief for farmers.
