Lorain students tour Carnegie Center museum history
Twenty four Stevan Dohanos Elementary third graders visited Lorain's Carnegie Center museum led by Lorain Historical Society members. They toured the first floor with Lorain history exhibits and a future second floor planned to include ethnic heritage and a children's history center. The group compared past and present Lorain, referencing Toni Morrison and Stevan Dohanos, and received an assignment to write a compare/contrast essay. The project supports a $3 million restoration goal backed by about $2 million in pledges and grants.
