Amnesty International condemns forced repatriation of Vietnamese refugees
Amnesty International released a 54 page report from a fact finding mission in Hong Kong camps. It finds that the British Hong Kong screening process misclassifies boat people as political refugees or economic migrants and that returns put those at risk of political arrest back in Vietnam. The report argues the delegates in Geneva should condemn forced repatriation and cites risks from non violent political religious or literary activities.
