Lorain County Indicts 72 Suspects in Open Gridiron Case

Lorain County grand jury indicted 72 people Thursday with 16 secretly indicted. Names include Stephen Bring aged 19 of Grafton for forgery, Michael Manning 21 of LaGrange for aggravated burglary, Theresa Pollock 19 of Lorain for theft, and many others across Lorain, Oberlin, Columbia Station, and nearby towns. The indictments cover forgery, burglary, grand theft, trafficking in drugs, receiving stolen property, and other felonies.

Wood stove fire damages former Landmark Motel apartment

A fire Friday at the former Landmark Motel on Quarry Road and Route 20 damaged an upstairs bedroom and ceiling. Wellington Community Fire Department responded at 10:25 a.m. and crews opened a roof section to reach the blaze traced to a woodburning stove.
