Elyria to hire Retail Strategies for new retail growth

Lorain brings dispatch back in house at city center
Lorain police completed a yearlong move to bring dispatching in house with upgrades to the former center. About 7:30 a.m. Tuesday operations fully transferred from the county 911 center in Elyria. The department aims to run two dispatchers at all times, with a third during large events, and plans to grow to 16 full time dispatchers plus cross training for officers.
