Boat Show Attendees Ignore Tax Warnings, Dealers Say
At the 1987 Mid-America Boat Show in Cleveland dealers report brisk sales despite tax law changes and rising gas prices. Buyers show strong discretionary spending, with sales ranging from 18 to 34 foot boats as vendors adapt and forecast continued demand. The event runs through Sunday at the International Exposition Center and supports community groups like the Irish Heritage Club.
