Emmy winning comedian Phil Silvers will headline an hour long musical comedy on Channel S at 9 tonight. Sydney Chaplin, fresh from a collaboration with Rosalind Russell in a two hour musical, also appears in the program. Won derful Town and Diana Dors.
Radio and TV listings feature Britain's actress guest starring in a Bilko spoof set in Malta. AMOS N ANDY and HIT PARADE air on WGAR Channel 8, with Elaine Stritch joining Broadway regulars. Met Opera and Mid-Day Symphony are scheduled on WGAR, plus Showdown at Sandoval on Channel 5. Pro basketball East-West All-Star game is on Channel 3 from Olympia Detroit. Plus TV's Person to Person with Tony Randall and guests.
TV guide notes Sealed Car go drama on Channel 3 at 11 15 with Dana Andrews Claude Rains and Philip Dorn. Channel 8 presents The Woman in White at 11 20 featuring Eleanor Parker Alexis Smith. Rocket Ship X- era sci fi on Channel 8 at 1 00 starring Lloyd Bridges Ona Massen.
As nominations close, Harvey Lembeck leads with an outstanding telecast nod for This is the real name of former boxing champ Rocky Graziano. Ed Sullivan, Fred Astaire, and U. S. Marines star John Bromfeld also figure in the season plans. Donna Reed Show renewed for 26 weeks as sponsor signs on through the season.

Avon Lake Eastview Elementary School PTA plans a minstrel show to be held at Avon Lake High School auditorium on March 20. KYW-TV operations director Preston Stover will direct the show with Wally S Brown as musical director. Avon Lake men’s and women’s choruses will rehearse at Eastview School each Friday.
Parishioners of Holy Trinity Church sponsor a shower for Notre Dame teaching sisters and Holy Trinity Church School faculty. The event runs Sunday 3:00 to 4:30 PM in the church hall with refreshments and a gift display. Co chairs are Mrs. Marshall Wasulko and Mrs. Edward Stanonik.
Prosecutor Paul J. Mikus questioned Sheriff Vernon M. Smith by letter about a $250 reward paid in 1957 by Standard Oil Co. for a service station burglar apprehension. Capt. George Rozic said the fund was used for car flashers and related needs. Former Sheriff Finegan raised legality concerns over $556 from confiscated pinball proceeds given to the March of Dimes.
