Automatic creditors to get dividend under Amherst decree
Almost nine thousand dollars is to be distributed to the general creditors of the L. S. Automatic company of Amherst under a decree issued by Judge A. R. Webber in common pleas court this morning. Nord, receiver, sought permission to make payments. Dividends equal 12 1 2 per cent on total claims of 114 651.42. Creditors must file claims by February 27 to be recognized. The decree provides 500 salary to Nord as receiver and 1,800 in attorney’s fees to J. J. Smythe and a future 500 a month for Nord’s services.

Steve Herman, 21, died at Elyria Memorial Hospital 7:45 this morning after a Saturday evening crash where his coupe broke through both gates at the Lake Avenue B and O crossing. He suffered a fractured skull and jaw, remained semi conscious at times, and died as Coroner Perry called the death accidental.
