College Grads Learn Ropes Of Jobs At Tech
A Carnegie Tech survey shows a shift from high salary aims to training on the job. One third of last year’s graduates pursue firm training over three months to three years with their employing companies, earning far less than the average mechanic. John B. Beatty reports 5772 students placed, with total earnings of 770,580.02 dollars. 374 full time positions yielded 662,262.50 dollars. Despite tough conditions in 1925, fewer than ten percent wait for big money roles.
