Court OKs improper DUI test testimony
The Ohio Supreme Court ruled 6-1 that police may testify about sobriety tests they administered to suspected drunken drivers even if the tests were not conducted exactly to national standards. Distinguishing official results from officer observations, the decision allows testimony on a suspect’s performance while excluding improperly administered test results as evidence.
