Federal Reserve economist questions state job expansion impact
J O B S 80 additional jobs would be created for each 100 state jobs. The jobs alone are attractive without the multiplier effect. But Federal Reserve Bank economist Mark Schweitzer in Cleveland said the effect might not be so positive. Moving state jobs may represent the wishes of the taxpayers. More dispersed government may meet with the overall wishes of the taxpayers. It could be less efficient for state government.
