Indictment for allegedly attacking pregnant girlfriend
An Oberlin man, Allen Winans, 28, was indicted on domestic violence and felonious assault charges after a December incident in Lorain County. A witness said he punched the woman, who was 14 weeks pregnant, about 10 times and threw a child's car seat during a dispute at a Russia Road home. Winans, who denied the assault, was reportedly staying at the house with the Mihalak family, amid a separate fatal shooting at the same residence in November.
