Longhorn World Championship Rodeo lights up Richfield Coliseum
The tenth annual Longhorn World Championship Rodeo, billed as the world's largest indoor rodeo, comes to Richfield Coliseum this weekend. Cowboys and cowgirls compete in bull riding and bareback bronc, calf roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, and more with a tribute to American Indian culture as the theme. Clown bullfighters led by Doug Abbiatti protect riders as they face 1500 pound bulls. Abbiatti, a longtime rodeo veteran, notes rodeo's danger and authenticity while highlighting the event's place in professional circuits.
