King Moshoeshoe II remains head of state as civil servants run ministries temporarily. Jonathan’s whereabouts were unknown amid celebrations in Maseru.

Minor setback for heart transplant patient at Cleveland Clinic

Dalphene Shaver, 31, of LaGrange, underwent a Dec 22 heart transplant at the Cleveland Clinic. Doctors report a minor setback with headaches and high blood sugar due to rejection-prevention meds. A high white blood cell count initially suggested rejection, but a biopsy showed the cause was medication side effects. insulin injections have been increased and she remains in care until counts normalize.
