Vegan fired for refusing flu shot sues hospital
Sakile Chenzira, a 58 year old Cincinnati woman, sues Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after being fired in December 2010 for refusing the flu shot on vegan grounds. She alleges religious discrimination, while the hospital argues veganism is not a religion. A judge allowed the religious claim to proceed, with trial set for July.
