Foreclosure hits Dettore comeback project
Women's Federal Savings Bank bought 207 acres of the Westerlies Parkland Diamond Park development north of Center Ridge Road and Case Road in North Ridgeville after foreclosing on mortgages held by Dettore's North Ridge Investment Corp. The sale, bid at $164,900, comes as officials plan to convert the land back into an earning asset. Foreclosure involved more than $600,000 in mortgage debt since 1979 and keeps the 1,600‑home project in limbo. The bank said the sale will be finalized after a 10‑day confirmation period.
